Blast airdrop participants are frustrated after PacMoon holders earned more Gold in a week than dApps have earned in two months.

Ethereum Layer 2 Blast held its fourth jackpot drawing on May 8, with a total of 965,589 Gold allocated to the PacMoon community in the largest distribution yet.

PacMoon is the leading memecoin in the Blast ecosystem in terms of total market capitalization, and this is the second time PacMoon has won the jackpot. So far, PacMoon holders have earned a total of 1,342,378 Gold, which is more than five times the allocation of the other jackpot winners combined.

Adding further controversy, many of the largest holders of PacMoon are Crypto Twitter influencers, who earned large distributions of $PAC during their engagement-based rewards program earlier this year.

The two large distributions to PacMoon also surpassed the total Gold distributed by some of the top dApps in the Blast ecosystem. Wasabi Protocol, a popular perpetuals exchange and NFT fractionalization platform on Blast, received 224,000 Gold in its first allocation and roughly 505,000 Gold in its second.

Despite being one of the top 10 dApps on Blast by total value locked (TVL), early Wasabi users have received just over half the Gold allocation compared to holders of Pacmoon.

The jackpot feature is just six days old. While it's likely that dApp ecosystems such as Wasabi will eventually receive their own jackpot winnings, the heavily skewed distributions during the opening week have left many Blast participants feeling frustrated and concerned about the potential impact on the ecosystem's perceived fairness.
